SOC development drilling increases Istiklal field production

 Sirte Oil Company (SOC) has completed successful development drilling of well FF03-6 of the Gargaf gas formation within the Istiklal oilfield. Development drilling across the Libyan oil sector is actively promoted by National Oil Corporation (NOC) within its framework of ongoing efforts to increase and maintain production and ensure regular gas supply to coastal region power plants.

NOC and Schlumberger agree timetable on new projects in Murzuq and Sirte

National Oil Corporation (NOC) chairman, Eng. Mustafa Sanalla, met Schlumberger chairman and CEO, Mr Olivier Le Peuch, on May 9,2019, to discuss Libyan onshore and offshore field development. The two parties also agreed to sign a memorandum of understanding in June of this year on joint drilling and training projects.

NOC opens first international office to lead 60 billion USD procurement drive
