NOC supports healthcare delivery in Zillah

National Oil Corporation (NOC) in accordance with its sustainable development framework and ongoing support of local communities delivered a shipment of essential medical equipment and supplies to the Zillah Rural Hospital on August 6, 2019. The corporation’s sustainable development department will oversee the installation of machinery and organise training for medical staff to assist healthcare delivery in Zillah in the Al Jufra district.

NOC completes offshore El Bouri maintenance works

National Oil Corporation (NOC) chairman Eng. Mustafa Sanalla visited the offshore El Bouri oil field yesterday, meeting facilities staff while inspecting operations and recently completed maintenance works. The field, situated in Libyan waters approximately 120 kilometres north-west of Tripoli and operated by NOC subsidiary Mellitah Oil and Gas Company (MOG), produces 30,000 barrels of oil daily.

NOC and Eni complete Phase 2 of Bahr Essalam gas project

Parties to expedite domestic gas supply and in-country renewable energy projects

National Oil Corporation (NOC) and Italian oil major Eni announce the completion of Phase 2 of the Bahr Essalam offshore gas project, a joint venture between the two companies operated by NOC subsidiary Mellitah Oil & Gas Company (MOG). Production from the field’s ninth well began earlier this month, while work on the last well is currently in progress.

Sabotage halts Sharara production – force majeure reinstated

National Oil Corporation (NOC) announces the reinstatement of force majeure on crude oil loadings at Zawiya port commencing Tuesday, July 30, 2019. This decision was prompted by a new illegal Sharara pipeline valve closure halting crude oil supply from Sharara to the port. This is the second illegal valve closure and breach of pipeline security by unidentified perpetrators in the last ten days.

Force majeure lifted on Sharara crude oil loading from Zawiya port following resumption of production

National Oil Corporation (NOC) announces the lifting of force majeure on Sharara crude oil loading from Zawiya port, following the opening of a closed valve on the pipeline connecting the Sharara oilfield to the Zawiya terminal. Valve 13 was reopened on Sunday evening, July 21, 2019, at 8:20 pm. The valve had been closed by unidentified group on Friday. Tests were conducted along the pipeline by NOC and Akakus Oil Operations technical teams to ensure all valves are now working. Oil production and operations restarted at 4.27am local time.
