Gialo oilfield production suspended for pipeline maintenance

Waha Oil Company (WOC) engineers and technicians have begun maintenance of the 30-inch crude oil pipeline connecting the Gialo and Waha oilfields.

Shelling causes fire at Airport Road warehouse in Tripoli

Brega Petroleum Marketing Company (BPMC) firefighters have controlled a blaze  near LPG tanks at the company’s airport road warehouse, thereby averting a humanitarian and environmental disaster. The fire started as a result of direct shelling of the facility at 8pm on Saturday, June 15, 2019, with first responders on scene shortly thereafter.

Sarir oilfield electric generator fire results in 30k bpd production loss

National Oil Corporation (NOC) reports that a fire broke out early on June 9, 2019, at compound 1 at the Sarir oilfield due to the high temperature experienced in an electric generator, thereby resulting in a production loss of approximately 30,000 barrels per day (bpd).
